Is that the same Softbank? How does a penny stock
buyout a $50 million dollar company? There isn't
enough paper to print that many shares at .36

Netz was started with $5,000,000 as I best recall.

This is from the August 1996 softbank press release,

With its recent additional investment, Softbank's investment in Yahoo Inc. now amounts to $108,250,000 (about \11.5 billion), or 9,515,228 shares. As 25,702,798 shares in Yahoo Inc. will be outstanding after the offering, Softbank will have a 37.02% interest in the
company, making it Yahoo's leading shareholder.

It is very early in the analysis of this transaction, but this sticks out. Any comments?

Bob,

Are you sure that Softbank in Japan is the same? I can't find any information pertaining to an office in Japan.
