i-node I have to admit I am skeptical on GMO products. For instance a corn developed that when insects eat it it releases a protein to essentially paralyze the insects gut but is 'safe' for human consumption. Or Corn that is engineered so that you can dump round up on it but the 'trace' residual is safe. Has their been any independent scientific research over a period of time that has no incentive positive or negative reviewing these things? I know GMO's are pushed because 'we' need to feed the growing population but we can farm enough to feed our population when we talk about feeding the earth's population via gmo we are talking about farming for maximum profit not about what may be healthy or sustainable for our needs.
