Are you kidding. We had to fight a war with the south to get them to end slavery and then another war of sorts to get them to end segregation.

I grew up in a town that is half African American and my black friends tell me it is so hard being black I could not stand it.

How in the world can even you think people who were forced by law to be second class citizens wouldn't care?

And why did we have to force the south to desegregate? Why couldn't they do it themselves?

<,

Of course I read. But I choose my material carefully. And I doubt Mr. Pittman will be on my list which has at least a hundred books I haven't gotten around to yet.

But my question stands: where and when have you spent time that has given you this great insight into life in he south? What kind of treatment do you believe is being thrust on blacks about which they are so angry, abused, and disadvantages?

You are a very bitter person it seems to me, and it looks as though it is a result of your own ignorance.
