haler, I appreciate the response and your opinion. I'm only trying to use logic here and I must admit I was looking at about Sept.99 as final date on my strategy. When any stock in a group is dumped for earnings,or other fundamental reasons usually there is a relationship with competing companies and that's the reasoning I'm using here. In other words why would anyone want G* if I* is a flop? If I* is a success why not participate in the stock which should be the moving force behind this concept. Ted
