Out of courtesy, I do not smoke in the presence of those who object to my smoking, no matter the reasons for their objections.

In a post not too far back on this thread I stated that I believe--and know--the statistics used are skewed and screwed.

With reference to sinister motives and witchhunts, think very carefully in terms of managed care and HMOs. Again California is leading the nation . . . but to where and to what?

I am not disputing anyone's right to smoke, just their right to do it around me.

But Christine, you think everyone should always do exactly as you wish when in your company, and, I note, you seem genuinely puzzled when they don't accede.
