It seems to me the more ignorant some people are the more they think they have to defend their ignorance. That bothers me a little too. If people are ignorant and prefer to stay ignorant it doesn't bother me unless they are trying to peddle that ignorance to me in an oppressive manner. I don't think any one can do that to me by the way.

People who are uninformed but have open minds to criticism, to new ways of looking at things, and to new information are a joy to be around, which is why I initiated the topic on dogma. I consider dogma to be a tyranny imposed on free thinking people.

Otherwise I leave people to their ways. For example: If you are going to join the march, in dissing every novel idea as alt facts, I'd find it annoying but probably let it pass.
