Is there a particular religion which takes all the different sides of G-d into account? Life appears to have a very cruel random side when looked at sometimes from the perspective of the individual. Innocent children die in the cross fire of war. We are told there is a reason for everything. But the reason only makes sense if you look beyond the individual tragedy. That's the problem and the dividing line between atheists/agnostics and believers. The believer can see the message behind the tragedy: war is wrong and kills. When there is no care, life can end abruptly, even in a very simple act of crossing a street, if one does not look both ways. So, maybe Life is Care. Others will never get over the pain, the injustice and unfairness of it all. They will blame G-d for not caring. The explanation or higher reason is there. It may take 40 years or a lifetime to understand what it was. But the reason does not bring the innocent life back. That's the killer. But at some point we all lose that innocence. Life does not guarantee innocence. If G-d guaranteed innocence, we wouldn't be living in the area called Life. As for Alzheimer's disease, maybe that disease is reserved for those who forgot to perform their responsibilities or obligations. A person can appear moral on the surface, but do we really know how they performed their function as parent/sibling/friend/ soldier/ citizen? As you can sense, I am deeply religious. However, I feel tremendous compassion and sympathy for the atheist/agnostic. I don't judge. I understand the pain and suffering of men. I get along with non-believers much more than I do with most believers. The reason for this is that I am on the side of those who suffer from lack of human care, whether that comes from the government or a soldier. I also don't go for those who pretend to be religious and then show no love for their fellow man. That's hypocrisy.
