Assuming you're very familiar with this speaking (which I will), I will choose to go ahead and believe that 'I guess' to be a courtesy as well. I believe it isn't anything else at all. Yes, this speaking seems like a tightwire of razorblades.

There probably is little to gain now for co.s to announce, but maybe the mood will change more when the accidents that may happen from, you might say, complacency, occur.

At my company, what we are doing about the y2k problem or anything else is "confidential and proprietary". That's part of a disclaimer posted on the bottom of our "intra-net pages." This stuff is not for public consumption, yet.
