Note that around Jan 2016, TWTR was expected to generate roughly $3 Billion in sales for 2016. They only produced $2.5 BIllion. They failed to deliver the growth that was built into the future expectations back then. This is not to say they can't deliver in the long run but they disappointed last year. The bar is set very high by WS with these IPOs, and in many cases, it's the last, best chance for those who've built up the company to "cash in".
