There are seven federal judges that are appointed to the FISA court. They are selected by the Chief Justice.. i.e. John Roberts. He has appointed all seven of the current judges, who serve for seven year terms. Of those seven judges, all but one were nominated/confirmed by a GOP POTUS at the federal district level. Needless to say, if Obama's FBI was "judge shopping", they were shopping in an almost exclusive GOP store. And the applicants do not get to pick the judge hearing the warrant application... they are rotated in as needed.

If the Pres meant what he said he'll order his Justice Dept to investigate, indict and prosecute Obama, right? Donald J. Trump ? @realDonaldTrump I'd bet a good lawyer could make a great case out of the fact that President Obama was tapping my phones in October, just prior to Election! That's not going to happen. Trump is just spouting off on twitter over things Mark Levin and Breitbart said or posted yesterday. Not so long ago he threatened to "send in the feds" to deal with Chicago street crime in response to an off the cuff remark by Bill O'Reilly. That his supporters get excited, just makes them look like chumps.
