WA has no income tax, and as someone mention, if you live along the Oregon border you can shop in Oregon and avoid Washington's sales tax....best of both worlds.

Washington State though is a rich person's haven. Look at Gates, Bezos, and Allen -- they're never leaving! And anybody (lower middle class and up) can live with low taxes if you stay away from the big cities. My brother pays 1/12th the property tax I do. If he ever has a medical emergency, however, he's a goner.
