Interesting debate, I agree with "show me the money" and am hoping for $9 again soon.

I must have missed your comments on the OLAP test. What was your test and conclusion? I'm intrigued by Applix enough to do plenty of research, but I just don't see where they are competing.

As part of your research you may wish to check out their homepage at applix.com. On the first page at the top there is a large splash referencing the OLAP council benchmark results. They also outline their various market segments, some of which does overlap Remedy and Vantive but keep in mind: Applix has the edge in thin-client solutions and is moving aggressively toward industry standard components and languages and they have a substantial technological lead. Distributed computing is a different architecture and it isn't something you can switch to overnight, as many are finding out. Sun's and IBM's efforts to bring Java into the enterprise on a large scale will work in Applix' favor. So Applix is encroaching on the markets of companies like Remedy with their own Customer Interaction solutions with a highly regarded set of software assets and the tiny company doesn't need too many wins to grow earnings convincingly.

Latest Audited Benchmark Confirms Applix Outperforms Arbor and Oracle.

Why is their real-time market drying up? I am ignorant of the specifics of their products, but I would think, in general, that the real-time market would be an expanding one. Please educate!
