Thanks Dale, looks like there's enough "wiggle" room in the "significant" definition. Significant can be "who" as well as how many based on that. The one thing that I think can be said here is that having a satisfied user such as NEC gives DR higher visibility. I have felt that one of the biggest hurdle's RACE had was "name recognition" especially due to the innovative nature of the product. The NEC sale may dispel some fears or skepticism potential users might have. We'll see.

>>"We will announce sales that we consider significant when it's the right time. We will not announce sales that we believe are irrelevant, but a sale does not have to be large to be relevant. We will not announce "sales" that are contingent, i.e. that have a material risk of not sticking. We will not ordinarily announce sales for which we do not yet have purchase orders, or for which we do not have the customer's OK to do an announcement. We try not to announce sales so early that it would give a competitor information that might help him identify an opportunity to displace us. But when the time is right and we can and it's relevant, we intend to announce sales."<<

Gee gang, I hate to sound redundant-----although doing so certainly would not constitute a precedent, on this thread, for sure----but the above quote sounds like the techie version of: "all we need is some ham and we can have ham and eggs, if we can get some eggs".

So they rack up one sale to a legacy PBX vendor -- that is, a technology on the verge of extinction itself. Today's announcement is akin to blowing snow uphill through a straw as a sort of undo procedure following an avalanche. Again, no self-respecting corporation would even entertain the thought of throwing away good money on this ancient technology, save another cave dweller.
