Debt to GDP is a very real concern. Taking on debt at the right time can be very advantageous, as long as you pay it off eventually. Debt, in and of itself is not the problem, which (unfortunately) is the way too many people look at it.

The constant kicking the can down the road is a major issue, one which I hope we start to resolve soon.

Don, Australia has a relatively light debt load.... maybe it's time we head to the land down under.......

but seriously, you raise a very excellent and serious point.... and the US inflating it's way out of it's massive debt load would seem to be the eventual path that we shall travel upon.
