Why on earth would you need to believe in a theory to be competent to administer and govern?

Evolutionary theory has taught us clever species adapt to their environment.

Inept species go scratching around looking for freebies and rely on handouts or gamble their nuts away with other squirrels go extinct.

Be adept Koan and adapt.

The look on Koan's face when he realized the universe had no opinion of him.

You see Koan what you call "settled-science" is just an opinion like your dissertation on the Runaways.

The majority of the Republican Party does not even believe in evolution and global warming. These are fourth-grade concepts to any scientists worth his salt and accepted as settled science among scientists.

Sorry, koan, but that's simply bullshit. Of course evolution is demonstratively factual. People who believe that the earth is 6 or 7 thousand years old and that dinosaurs hitched a ride on Noah's Ark are simply goofball fundies. You won't find any scientist going anywhere near that silliness.

"Global warming", however, is a different story. Global temperature fluctuations are a fact. There is nothing "settled" in any way that's determined the extent, if any, to which humans putting more CO2 in the atmosphere has affected either the global temps or the climate. It may be a little, it may be more than a little, it may be an insignificant factor.

Try this on for size. Do you know what PPM stands for? Take around 250 to 400 dollars and contrast that sum with a million dollars. That's the ratio of CO2 (plant food) to the rest of the components in the current atmosphere. In other words, the difference is fuck all.

Here's another one. Ratty is all sweaty about an 8 inch rise in sea level during the past hundred years, causing all kinds of flooding and global catastrophes. 8 inches, LOL! About the size you wish you had during your last erection, whenever that occurred..

So learn the difference between science and religion. One is an ongoing process of continual testing of factual evidence and the other is a faith based belief system that's completely disconnected from tangible evidence. Evolution is a scientific fact. Claiming that understanding the dynamics of the earth's continually changing climate is "settled science" and that humans are the primary determining factor is, in fact, an example of pure religious (and political) dogma. The climate is not locked in stasis. And whether the globe gets warmer or cooler in the future and which direction would be more beneficial on balance is an open question..

You're welcome for the lesson..
