I'm really starting to question the extent to which "hard science" even exists as a thing. We don't have any Feynmans or Einsteins. People who are true to the cause of the Scientific Method. Today it is just as it has been for decades. Publish [quickly] or perish. You can make a lifetime of study out of something so long as you can get some inkling of success early on. Even it is bogus (in re: Michael Mann). This is exactly what Feynman was talking about in his famous 1974 commencement address at CalTech. When he spoke of "Cargo Cult Science."
