Don't hold your breath on that one..
With earnings to be reported on the 19th of Jan, or the week of the 19 th., we may see Vivus repurchase shares. An aggressive share repurchase would send a strong message to the street that management is confident in the company. With 2,000,000 shares authorized for repurchase what better buying opportunity can they expect.

-- Shorts are toast. Look at volume. Only 352k shares today. They have to cover at some point. Plus, we're still looking at Vivus fulfilling the 2 million share buyback.
