IMHO, too many "intern" positions were glorified "valets" and "gofers". The "old" apprentice programs actually were working positions that involved on the job training and schooling. i.e. Millwrights, welders, electricians, technical knowledge positions. These led to actual jobs with the company you apprenticed with. If there is a small govt. "partnership" involved I am ok with it. Just not some huge govt. run program that leads to little new jobs. Again, all IMHO. RDK
