Stein appealed to the conspiracy left. Those who hate the US government and liberals as much as the right does. Anti-science too - those who think astrology is real, and think light and magnets can cure diseases more than MDs. I have several friends in Berkeley who are thus. Many have always been strangely defensive FOR the Soviet Union and now Russia. Russia and its leaders are victims, never ever perps. Israel and the US (and bankers) are ALWAYS the perps of global evil. it hurts Democrats, and helps feed the GOP control of (disinforming/forming) the Democratic brand. JMHO

If Dump is still around by the time mid terms get here, which he might not be, there is a very good chance that we will gain more control after those mid terms and be able to reel this idiot in. I think there is a pretty strong chance that he might cook his own goose before then though. The laws that are being broken are getting out of control and for republicans Trump is no longer the puppet they can use to pull off their agenda. That plan already failed. Now they need to start thinking about their political careers and if they hitch their wagon to Trump's for much longer it will certainly mean the end of their run in politics IMO.
