My kids tell me that Stein appealed to many of their naïve friends. The kids who did not like Clinton, or were angry about Bernie losing. They are kids and dumb by definition-lol. . There were also a lot of pot smokers that voted for Johnson, not understanding the stakes. And many just too lazy to vote, or simply did not see the stakes at hand.

But there were also a lot of liberals, that are very intelligent that still did not understand the stakes and voted for Stein. I had three of my best friends get real mad at me for just supporting Clinton and two of them walked out of a dinner party when I simply said we need to get Hillary elected.

In fact there were a couple people on this thread that got mad at me for simply saying that we needed to reel in the third-party candidates and everyone needed to vote for Hillary.

Too many people on the left were so sure that Hillary would win anyway that they took this election for granted. They simply made a mistake in understanding the stakes at risk. I posted over and over that it was all hands on deck and we had to all get behind Hillary 100%.

And many people (my fiends included) who just couldn't see what an airhead Stein and Johnson are, or the consequences of staying at home. All three still defend Nader.

The human condition.

I don't consider myself a 'radical leftist', but I do believe that wealthy people and interests control our government, regardless of the party in power. It's just different groups of wealthy people and interests. I find the (D)'s funders more aligned with my issues, and the (R)'s wealthy people and interests more aligned against them.
