What he is not saying is even more important. The corruption of the DNC, especially visible in traditional machine places like Chicago and New York, may have been effective in the Party's success in the past but is hindering its future. I am optimistic that the party will improve, but it is a shame that it takes a President as evil and incompetent as Comrade Chump to force the issue.

The Democrats can's become a majority party again just getting votes from people with advanced degrees sipping expensive wine at trendy bistros. I certainly plan on supporting Warren again and will likely up my financial contributions and personal commitment of time now that I am retired.

I think we need to scrutinize what Sanders is getting at when he says I am not a Democrat.

I'm not certain what you say here about Sanders' motive declaring himself an independent. I do know, however, this was easily one of the worst settings in which to underline it. Saying it sitting alongside Perez is simply dumb and rude. He could easily have distanced himself on the membership score at the same time supporting Perez. If he didn't plan to support Perez, he certainly should not have been there.

One of the reasons Sanders is unable to work with others on legislation.
