I like many of Bernie's positions, but it appears to me he is heavy into promoting his personal brand now.
Definitely still not in unifier mode now. Too bad.

John I think your figuring this wrong. Perez wants Sanders help. In fact Sanders is going up to work on that next congressional race in Montana for the Democrat; and will continue to work to help all Democratic races. Perez knows Sanders can appeal to the independents and the left wing of the party, so sees him as an asset and doesn't mind him saying he is not a democrat.

Perez probably feels the same way i.e. present party is to centrist, but cannot say that, so he USES Sanders to say it. Remember Perez just asked all employees of the Democratic committee to submit their resignations.

I think it is obvious that Perez is with Sanders in wanting to move the party left. You know they say politics makes strange bedfellows. Perez doesn't see what Sanders is doing as being rude.

Sander's has said he wants to strengthen the Democratic party. That is his goal, so how can he be seen as being a problem or rude. Sanders is working well with the Democrats

I think we need to scrutinize what Sanders is getting at when he says I am not a Democrat.

I'm not certain what you say here about Sanders' motive declaring himself an independent. I do know, however, this was easily one of the worst settings in which to underline it. Saying it sitting alongside Perez is simply dumb and rude. He could easily have distanced himself on the membership score at the same time supporting Perez. If he didn't plan to support Perez, he certainly should not have been there.

One of the reasons Sanders is unable to work with others on legislation.
