You might think it an effective argumentative device to suggest there are many ways to determine cost, but it's not. You're just blowing smoke.

In fact, insurers all across the country have documented and categorized the payments being made for care in ERs and clinics for years. The facility's cash flow either sustains the facility or it doesn't. If it doesn't, the facility will not continue to operate.

I posted the cost findings of two representative insurers.

It couldn't be any more clear: Medical care in ERs costs somewhere between 3 and 6 times the cost of medical care in clinics.

There are many reasons for this. One big one I think you may be missing is that ERs are open 24/7/365.

Do you think a facility that is staffed 24/7/365 will have the same overhead as a facility staffed 8 to 5, 6 days a week?
