They will be fine with it. Do you think the people in this country are different from people in Nordic countries-lol? They pay more in taxes but get more social services. And you can bet their tax system is more fair than ours to the poor, all things included..

People are people and most poor would like to get good jobs. Would rather work. Living on welfare is horrible.

PS Americans work harder than anyone and get less because the plutocrats steal our money.

This era is like the Gilded age. Google it.

The rich need to be brought under control.

How happy are the poor going to be when you explain to them that to get to a nordic social system they have to work harder and pay more taxes and under our current system that would be a significant change. The middle class and wealthy also would drastically have to pay more in taxes. I think you will find the overall attitude of our society even amongst the poor will shift drastically once you try to convince them they have to pay 30% at the poorest level when they currently pay 0%.

But, they'd get 'free' education and health care! Although, they dropped out of the 'free' high school they used to go to.. ;-)
