It looks like what we used to call the "big bath" in business school. Since it is fourth quarter, they are going to clean out the closet with a bunch of stuff that I guarantee you didn't just come up this quarter. Think about it, $160 million in charges when revenue is only $240 million and they were forecasted to make $30-40 million to boot(I don't know the exact amount or their exact number of shares, but they were forecast to make in the $.30-$.40 cents this quarter and with 100 million shares, that's $30-40 million if my math is correct). Now we're talking real money, $190-200 million of big bath. My only hope is that after this, they better have a squeeky clean balance sheet so that 1998 has a decent chance of being good. Sure hope that they're not holding anything back. Oh no, I see a bunch of class action lawyers sharpening their teeth.
