"I really hope Trump will stand up against the corruption of (science)"

He should start with the corruption in the WH.

"I think they ought to just kill peer-review and start over. "
I think deniers say that a lot. That's cuz their papers don't stand up under peer review.

There is a lot of repression and group think among scientists today. Anytime an establishment is established that ordains priests and creates a hierarchy of bishops, cardinals and a pope an inquisition is a likely outcome.

Wharf Rat while not an academic or scientist is a good barometer of successful indoctrination. Group-think and group-speak has taken hold to such a degree he can't stray from the party-line on any topic. This level of conformity from a self avowed hippy and flower-child shows a systematic failure of that counter-culture.

Wharf Rat and his BFF Koan are not dissimilar to Tom Tuttle after his brain-washing.
