I'm also confused about the AMAT testing facility. Could you explain the difference between front end and back end? I gather that AMAT's testing might deal more with inspection of the wafers while Teradyne's equipment deals with the actual testing of operation ... is that correct or is it more complicated. I'd be grateful for any links that provide an overview of semi manufacturing, i.e. the different stages and esp. which companies fit where. Thanks, Bill
