I doubt it. My gut feel is SGI is on the way down.

The graphic workstation market is owned by Sun and NT (OGL)
now. SGI OS and Server Hardware offerings are inferior to those of
Sun, DEC, and HP.

The only thing SGI has going is it's OGL related products. If
they could create a high-end graphic workstation that would run
NT then they might stand a chance.
