Hank:

Excel was not trying to do a retro rate increase. Thay rased the rates
dec 5 and just did not tell anyone. This seems to be a common event
in the phone ind.

I have seen a number of anouncments and non anouncements from Excel of
late that makes me question the management thinking.

1. They are raising the in state rates on the Dime Deal to 15 cents
after stating that if anything that rates would go down when this
program is started.

2. No new products or services??? This is letting other companies
build a major headstart in the service fields such as PCS, DBS
and Internet etc.

3. Thay are not making any price changes to the paging product to
be anything like what others are charging now. Basic paging
rates are 25% or more higher than what others charge for the
same service, and the pagers are $65 as compared to $45 for
the same pager from others. The others are also resalling
Page Mart pagers.

The responce from my upline to this has been "hay it's not rates,
but personal relationships that make it work". That may be if
you have a large family who will pay you 50% more for a service
that what others charge, but I do not feel it is a good long term
plan.

As result if the above I have sold all my Excel stock and stopped
working the Excel business and am puting my efforts into another
company that seems to be much more foward looking than Excel.

Ron

PS. I'm already making more with this new company after 2 months that
with Excel in 2 years. This company may doing a IOP within the next
year. If so I will let you know, may be amother short opp, like
most IPO's are.
