unclear vietnam taught anyone other than the americans who never seems able to learn in any case, simply repeating ad infinitum the same mistakes over and again, mistaking fortune w/ brilliance

but would say vietnam, by subsequent behaviour adjustment, had learned what the americans failed to teach

vietnam wished to absorb cambodia, and was helped to fail in that effort, convincingly, within a matter of weeks as opposed to eternity of decades

america treats war as a way of life, fights it as a business proposition or hobby, and when fail, just fail and vaporise the event's memory

china treats war as a last resort, fights it at all cost, and stop once and only once objective met, be it weeks, years, or decades, or 200 years
