Add/Remove Uninstalling Applications ...

I personally have never used Microsoft's 'add.remove' (now 'uninstall) in any version of Windows because it simply runs an Uninstaller provided by the application developer and often leaves considerable debris behind in the registry but that is another story. [I run both Revo Uninstaller Pro and a paid-licensed version of IoBit's Uninstaller both of which provide a forced uninstall capability.] As Josh pointed out the free versions of both are very good. Until last August Revo Free would not identify and uninstall 64-bit programs but it now does. Revo's advanced scan in Pro is a bit more aggressive than IoBit's so some caution is necessary when using it.

You ran an .exe file contained in a zip file. Did it actually install the program or did it just run the program (a portable app)? If it installed the program right click on the icon it installed or find it in the start menu and look at properties for where it is installed.

Edit: I see you deleted the folder containg the .exe. I think you are home free.

You are running Win7 but some individuals get confused about how to uninstall from Win10. The uninstall functionality is still there but here is a good tutorial for Win10 uninstall:

Any suggestions?

This is one program that is worth buying, it doesn't a very deep scan to find leftovers from installs and removes them.

Removing the program. . .

I downloaded the program and went through the steps to run it. It appears that it's an .EXE file that was compressed into a .ZIP file. This makes sense for two reasons: Zipped files make for a smaller download and some systems are reluctant to download (or run) .EXE files.

While executing, I checked my system and there was only one process associated with the program running. Checking further, it was running from the location where I Un-Zipped it. I could see no evidence that any files have been copied to my Windows Systems' folders. However, some small files had been copied to my User Account AppData folder. These looked to be storing configuration information.

After experimenting, I deleted the .EXE file, and the downloaded .ZIP file. As well, I removed the files in my User's AppData folder. I now consider the program gone.

Note: I did NOT take a "Before" and "After" snapshot of my system and compare the two. This would be the only way to be totally certain of what the program did, but it's time consuming and I'm lazy.

Cheers, PW.

P.S. The User AppData folder has the Hidden attribute set on most systems so it's rarely seen. Anyone wishing to examine it's contents will need to take the extra steps necessary to view Hidden folder contents.
