Sadly, there is no way out. The alternative to cutting Medicare
is to force Helicopter Fed to pay for it.

We still have to see what budget the Republican Congress adopts.

Overall one cannot increase spending and cut taxes. It does not
quite work that way. That is not to say I like what Trump is doing. I think
he will increase the deficit like Bush did, while cutting social
programs, by cutting taxes for the rich.

That said, growing Medicare cost is a huge problem on Macro level, one that
threatens US credit rating the most.

Needless to say, once that perceived US creditworthiness goes into the toilet,
Greek type economic pain will be upon us.
