jim, corp. is not buying any sub zero pcs. sub zero pcs are not sub 1000 pcs. we have both those for months. sub zero is the 700 and soon to be 500 retail pc. NOT THE BUSINESS PC. please don't go trying to change the defintions on us. it's hard enough keeping up with PCI,UBS,AGP,TCP ETC.

this conference call today summed up what you keep missing. ww pc group will be 14% but cpq,dell,hp will grow at 50% plus because of consolidation. the weak pc mfg'ers will go bankrupt this yr bec. of pressure and that means dell,cpq,hp will get the biz. This has happened 3 or 4 times since 1982 and the veterans know what is about to happen and the newbies like you haven't got a clue. you 'll know now by this time in 1999. we lose 20-30 pc mfg'ers this yr bec. they will not be able to handle this lower cost. the quote is below: On the personal computer group, analyst Lucianne Painter said Compaq Computer Corp (NYSE:CPQ - news), Dell Computer Corp (Nasdaq:DELL - news) and Hewlett-Packard Co (NYSE:HWP - news) likely would remain the primary beneficiaries of a consolidation in market share that has pushed the three farther ahead of rivals. She said it was still too early to gauge overall unit growth.
