<< has the last bear been wiped out???? >>

Well, no. I shorted APM yesterday and covered today.
The last BRAVE bear may have been, though.

And BTW, what happened at the close? The market was done 60-90 points
on the DJIA all day, the roared up to -4 in the last 15 minutes! I looked for news and didn't see any. Are the NYSE specialists afraid we'll all give up?

Do I smell manipulation?

The NASDAQ MMs apparently didn't get the word because it only gained about 7 points to end at -18.

Paulo:
Most of the threads I watch are also quiet...maybe the bears
have gone into the caves for forty winks <g>. Suffice it to
say - if this market won't sell off big time - on bad news - then
sure as he## it's going up! Some of the bears are only techno-
bears - i.e., momentum players. Those that base their position
on FA factors will be easily "converted" wtih a 500 point move
to the upside. BWDIK
Don

good question, paulo. Both bears and bulls have to be nimble and patient in this market. I think it's wiped out a lot of options players, to be sure.
