Thanks... I'm using Windows 8.1 and had every opportunity to upgrade for free at the time, but with so many issues I decided not to mess with it unless I had to buy a new PC... I still have the desktop I've had but I did buy a new laptop which has the Windows 10 already in it, so I'm using the laptop on occasion to see if I actually do run into any issues... I hope I don't run into any, because at some point I'll likely have to replace the desktop I'm using and I really don't want to jump from the pan into the fire... I guess I'm just stubborn and fixed in my ways...

... however Locogringo reported a few days ago his printer didn't work with the Creators update, so people still occasionally experience these problems.

The people online all seem to have the same problem with that Canon series. The printer driver seems ok but the scanner driver "cannot be found". A USB patch works for some people but the problem actually comes back with any kind of update. (every Tuesday?)

Canon is slow when it comes to patches and updates, but at least they try. When I owned an Epson, their advice was to buy a newer printer/scanner. Never bought an Epson again.
