Cader, I decided to hold off on the virual network connection, for now. The service thru uunet is available for $200 a month. I just moved to a new house and I don't have isdn hardware or isdn to the new place. Frame relay networks, I am told, only operate through ISDN. At any rate, there is no cable where I live now, and there never will be, so I am seriously considering going with a direct duo dish. The download rate on the dish is wicked. So it may infact be a better alternative for me. Just before the move I was running two computers on two 56kbs modems. Right now I only have one phone line, and the two I have on order.....I'm not holding my breath lets put it that way. I am not running a fixed page, I created my own, and it is probably asking alot out of the internet connection. Yesterday, I was still moving into the new place, and didn't have a clue of all the fun I was missing. I fired up the 'puta with a little over an hour left for the market. I didn't experience any problems with the feed. If there was a very slow internet on a particular day, I could close some of the windows and make the page a little less internet intensive. There are twenty windows on the page I use now. About ten open at once. As far as the sliding scale commisions... it goes like this... My favorite thing, though, is the tech support. No other broker can come close to their level of service. Finally, the execution system is also out front. I fall into the 50 - 70 tickets a month zone, so I pay $21 bucks a trade - up to two thousand shares - and I pay $75 a month for a news feed and the SP Comstock is thrown in for free - and that includes exchange fees.
