Am at Tofino at the moment, quite isolated and very peaceful.

Re n.korea and nukes, and USA west coast coverage, am guessing 2020, iow soon, because it seems the only thing n.korea is working on is a nuke destined for Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle, Houston, etc.

The why of such single purpose mindedness appears to be driven by national security concerns, if we take the take that survival of the Kim dynasty is equated w/ national survivor, a debatable point but as long as Kim thinks so, no point to debate.

At this juncture east Asia tension would ratchet down the minute Kim dynasty decapitated or Kim gets the device package he can send to Hollywood.

Am fairly sure Kim does not want to start a war, but he certainly plays a close game w/ whatever cards he does have.

By off-ing his brother, he had taken off of the table the option of palace coup and new-Kim regime.

If you are not in the nuke club, you are either already somebody else's bitch or you are under constant and severe threat of becoming somebody's bitch. So it is only natural that countries that wish to stay independent strive for nukes.

On the other side, it is only natural that the club wants to maintain the exclusivity of its membership. If too many people are in it, there won't be enough bitches to go around.

As for myself, I would love to have a few nukes. They are would be a great deterrent against predatory businesses and governments stealing my property. <g?>
