I bet you said the same thing when Compaq chose the K5 a few years back ??!!
Don't forget AMD's track record ... K5 and then the 233mhz K6 ...!!

Intelligence of Compaq:

Compaq opt to design MB and other adapter cards themselves. Tell me about intelligence. The MB I have at work has the P-II mounted horizontally rather than taking advantage of radiating heat on both surfaces of this thermal brick. Grated horizontal mounting is a more stable mechanically, but I do not usually shake my computer around while it is running and while it is not running! You tell me the intelligence behind it. I also know one of engineers who designed the power supply on this Compaq P-II MB, not his favorite mounting strategy doing it horizontally.
