Bosch says autonomous technology can reach level 4 by 2019.

I have my doubts on level 4 in two years, but level 3 on highways seems like a good bet. What happens to short haul airlines if you can ride an autonomous car to your destination? Do people stop in roadside hotels or will they be able to sleep on the way to their destination?

It seems to me that while there will be money to be made on the suppliers, the secondary impacts might be even more lucrative.

Just hope your car doesn't decide you are a scumbag and deserve to be dead...
SkyNet is coming. For better or worse.
I still haven't heard much discussion in the press or forums about how does a self driving car decide between two death options... run over "something" in the road, perhaps a child who ran out between two parked cars after a ball or drive off a cliff or into a tree?
