Mike,

Philippines is going down because rest of Asia is already way down. It's not rational but hedge fund managers see an opportunity. I am long FPF and have been looking to buy PHI at a reasonable price. Inspite of Asian problems PHI still sells at P/S ratio of over 3 and P/E of > 10. I am waiting to buy PHI below 16 if it gets there.

I see after buying PHI today that
the Philippines is getting hammered
tonight--off more than ten percent
at 0330GMT. No bottom in sight!
