Bill: That seems very logical, also if you take into consideration the statement> "''The Franklin Tempest Data Voice Gateways will be interconnected by a **private intranet** and the **public Internet**, thus providing very low-cost telephone service through our global telephone network.

Corporations can also setup their own Intranet with the dvg's and tap into the overall Internet via FNet. If a company already has an Intranet, then a few dvg's (a little configuration) and shaboom there ready for World Conversations with a Twist. ggg

The syracuse demo is a great example on how a LAN or WAN could be set up, offices/schools and such.

Buy the Dvg's setup your own Intranet, buy and get onboard the FNet World Train, or just plain be a everyday citizen and talk all you want for a whole lot less across the World.

Bill,

I agree with you. It makes sense to see Worldcom trying to get a peice of the revenues Ftel/Fnet would bring in as opposed to being a direct customer for DVGs. A percentage in ...billions is not a small amount to ignore. As regards the word exclusive, are you saying that Ftels agreement involves exclusive use of the backbone?
