Dan, I am using LRCX as a teaching tool on downside underhead, if that is the right word, or overhead...You are right about support at 25.00...But we did make a lower low today, and did not close too far from the low...This stock is one of the stocks I talked about with
10 point downside potential, that is why I am in....Last year I rode GRNO from 1.50 to 9.75, and these big scores, can do wonders for your economic health...If we break 25.00 on good volume, watch out below...
I'm sure the smart money knows what we know, and will try to shake out some shares by creating a rally....But, I am fastening my seatbelt, and in for the duration......Rallies now will be bouncing off 30.00 to the downside...Since my entry is at 29 3/4, I will be patient....

Regards, Mark

o'neil's funds never did well, why would a shorter want to emulate him?~
also the premise behind buying high, selling higher is that the stock can up infinitely.. while the short has a bottom.. and unlike mr wexler's short to 0{where you cannot buy the shares back~after delisting} the short usually has a target to get out and take his gains somewhere way before 0.. say before the last whipsaw up prior to death throes, and on that pop he will reshort some..
the higher you short the more you can make..

Are you shorting LRCX mostly on technical reasons? It seems like it's relatively reasonable at these levels especially considering it's still a turnaround situation regardless of the overall industry.

At these levels I think LRCX could be bought.
