Glenn;

My comments were more about why I do not consider Excel as a good
stock investment than as a total putdown of the Excel marketing
program. Just the way things are being run at this time.

And I'm sorry to disappoint you but facts are facts. I put a large amount of effort into Excel and am at RD. But even after 2 years my LDU income is less than $200 per month. The only way to make serious money in Excel at this time is on the bouns side, which requires you to always be signing up new reps.

For the 50% less atatement Excel charges me 12 cent in NC, soon to be 15, others are offering the same level of service for less than 8.
Others calling card rates are a lot less than Excels and thay to not charge the $1 per month fee. But having said this I'm remaining an
Excel customer because most of my calls are day time and out of state,
and may move my business line to the new commercial plan. But for a lot of people who only call nights, weekends and have a low LD bill (<$10) it is not be the best.

On the new services, Excel has been talking about new services that
are just around the bend for 2 years, and thay have yet to show. Now
Kenny has stated that there will be no new products for the foreseeable future.

Yes the commercial rates are good and I will be signing up a number
of $2000 plus per month acounts, I've done the work already so why not receive the commissions. I just do not plan to put any more
effort into building a downline. There is no conflict between Excel and this new company, and I see no reason not to collect the commisions from Excel for the work I've done.

If Excel starts taking advantage of it's marketing org to push new
products and services and use it's low cost per new customers to
keep its rates low and keep promises made, then over the long term
it may be a good stock investment. If things start to turn then I
may buy back into the stock.

The new company has already been in business for 3 years. With a
very well established name in it's field. They just started a
new marketing program Nov 1, 1997. Thay are using a format much like Excels, just it pays on a much more even scale, not just after you build a large org. I have signed up some reps who do not plan
to build a downline only sale the service. This is OK with me, I receive the same commisions on my 1st level people as on the 5th. So
a person who sales a lot of accounts is worth the same as one who
signs up a lot of reps. As oppose to Excel where only people who build
a large org will make serious money for a rep.

No I'm not trying to sign up Excel reps. That is against Excle's rules.
