If you started DE, you must have had the full Calc sequence? Did you also take a Prob & Stats course that assumed Calculus?

Where I did my undergrad, Pre-Med Biology majors typically took only two qtrs (out of four) of Calc, took a BioStat course that didn't assume Calc, and typically took a Gen Physics year that was non-Calc based. Even the Pre-Med Chem majors typically took that Physics course instead of the Calc based one that Physics, Math and Eng students would take.

I was Engineering in undergrad but I have all the physics classes of a BS in Physics except for two qtrs of Classical Mechanics, which I couldn't fit in due to schedule conflicts. I would have liked to take those, as I find the field interesting, and more related to my actual field of work (Control Systems) than most the Physics I did take. Go figure...

Your posts on climate science generally indicate more background than I would have thought for someone who came from health science background.
