John, I think you're right. FAMH could have great leverage in this deal.

Personally, I expect this acquisition to happen rapidly because of pressure from the government on Myriad to get the tax lien resolved.

Here's a question from the uninformed:

How did the company in question (Myraid - Myriad -- do we even know for sure the correct version yet?) get into such serious financial trouble that a relatively small company (FAMH) which performs the same basic service could come to its rescue and bail it out? If this company is worth $60 MM, what was their problem? The tax lien part I understand, although as John points out, we don't even know what level of government has imposed the lien and the reason. I'm just waiting to see some particulars about this apparently huge takeover and the company involved. Any help would be appreciated.

Regarding this Tax issue, from what I was able to uncover, it appears to be a State Tax lien in the amount of only $26,000!!! The company feels that the actual figure is more like $8,000 and is appealing it. As far as I'm concerned, this is pocket change, not even an issue!
