Re:Whenever it proudly
proclaims "I caught a crash - want me to fix it?" I reply NO.
Otherwise it goes into an endless loop.

Ahh, the wonders of technology<G>

GM, ***OT***

Does your system crash or just Navigator? If it is just Navigator, make sure you have the latest version. I used 4.01-4.04 and the number of crashes went down with each beta, but 4.04 is really solid. Give it a try if you are using one of the earlier versions.

<I have a 200 MHz MMX and 32 MB RAM - now available at half what I paid last May. And crashes on the web are common - about one every one or two hours of usage (Win95 and Navigator)....>

This is a typical WinTel Horror Story. Get a Macintosh. You wont crash! My 486 is gathering dust in the attic, waiting for Goodwill to pick it up. I'll never buy a WinTel again!

GM,

If your problem isn't fixed by the upgrade to 4.04, check this out. It sounds from the symtoms you described like you might have the memory leak problem that comes from opening and closing a large number of sockets. See if you have windows\system\kernel32.dll, size=411k (explorer reported size=402k), date=2/2/96. If not, you can download it from:

support.microsoft.com.

Hope this helps...

Vaughn
