Carl and Dr. J:

You both fairly often express the negative side of Applix's outlook. I do believe, however, that you both are fasinated with the possiblities for Aplix's technology. If for no other reason, buy Applix for the techincal know how of the employees. In the worst case someone will buy this company for technology and technical skills of employees. In addition, cash per share and sales per share make this company an excellent buy.

Think for a moment. What do you like about Applix? I would appreciate your answer.

By Microsoft's own count, there are some 400,000 active Java developers and let's hope you are right that most of them are C++ programmers (which greatly out number VB developers

Where do you get your numbers? THe last Computerworld survey I saw showed 7m+ VB developers and <1m C++ developers.
