Yes,

On CNBC's Squawk Box this morning they raised this very issue. They said that Cowen raised their rating on TI within the last month from a buy to a strong buy (I believe I heard them say to $70, but not sure), and now this. Makes you wonder hmmmmm

Keep smiling

<A> Texas Instruments -2: Cowen Cites Falling DRAM Prices

NEW YORK (Dow Jones)--Cowen & Co. lowered its rating on Texas Instruments Inc. (TXN) to buy from strong buy, analyst Drew Peck said.

Peck said that even though he is bullish on the company for the second half of 1998, he couldn't justify a strong buy rating in light of drastic declines in prices of dynamic random access memory chips, or DRAMs.

Steve,
How do you come up with all these responces
from all these street people so fast? You have
beat me every time.

Do you have accounts at Cowen and H&Q as I do?
That Dec. 15,97 report was faxed to me. Reminded
me I had it when I saw your comment on Peck. Your right
Peck is the only analyst that was in the field of
engineering and has degree in it. Chaplinsky was
at INTC and was doing pretty near the same thing he does now.

How do you feel about TXN in the lower forties? Any thoughts.

Jerry
