Garbage in, garbage out. Surprise! It's the idiot Dr. Mann. He really has no idea what he is talking about. It's best he just stay out of this area, since he is obviously not an expert in meteorology. He's also a terrible climate scientist and data-analyst. In the climate field, you can't have blame more rain & storms on warming unless there is an upper-tropospheric hot spot. There is none. A terrible late-August storm forms and stalls from an anomalously cold continental air mass, and Dr. Mann has the gall to say climate models forecasted this. Climate models are not even close t being right. It's really stupid to say that, but it doesn't surprise me. In the meteorology field, Bastardi has pointed out this set-up was from MJO Phase 2. You should follow him, you could learn some things and gain a respect of meteorology. Following Mann will lead you down a road of whining, complaining, and not learning anything.
