If you look at the workstation of choice in the Gates Building at Stanford, you'll find it's still SGI. But don't listen to me 'cause I'm partial to rulez and warez. And hey, they lose the axe every now and then.

Alexis and other SGI tech experts: Yesterday HP claims that its new work stations beat the pants off SGI, see

It particular, HP claims that one of its box "outperforms Onyx2 at 1/7 the cost". Will some of you experts kindly help us interpret the significance, or lack of, of HP's claim. Thanks.
